I don't share my knowledge because I know more, I know more because I share my knowldege

Nothing is an example of the mastery of a knowledge than the ability to teach it. Answering questions increases the knowledge of both person who asked the question and the person providing an answer. Conversely, hoarding knowledge is a sign of little one knows, and hoarding the knowledge is a way to keep something for themselves as a way to show some things others know not of.

Want less, fulfilled sooner

Image
Why is it the more we crave, the less content we feel? Everywhere around us, everything tells us to ask for more, aim higher and get more stuff. But does stuff actually fills that hole? Or does it just make it feel deeper, more space to stuff things in. If fulfillment is what we seek, maybe we should do the logical thing. What is shorter than a straight line between two points? A shorter line. So maybe we should stop along the way to that second point. Make more points. Make a shorter line. In short, want less. If we want less, it's likely we can get what we want sooner. Be satisfied sooner. Fulfilled earlier.  And because we are human, we will want more later. Another point along they way. And another. And another. till we reach the other point.

Self-realization is as scarce as wisdom

Perhaps all wisdom is ... is self-realization.

Knowledge and Awareness is the difference between Confidence and Delusion

Both are beliefs. But one is rooted in reality while the other is rooted in the clouds. One can lead to success, the other leads you in circles.

Time is valueless. Your actions within it put value to it.

To the wise, this sunrise is the first of the day, the first of seven days, the first of a month and the first of a year. For they understand that the passing of time is constant and that each sunrise is one more day, just as was the day before. Others remember the passing of the new year and the passing of a year in life but the wise remember that time passes all the time.

The thing that is at the same time the hardest and easiest to do is what needs to be done.

English: Footbridge over Garden The public footpath crosses a nice little footbridge which goes right over the centre of a delightful private garden. An excellent solution to a difficult problem (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Solving problems can be easier than we think.Sometimes it is the solution that 'prevents' us from solving a problem. But is it really? How many times have you thought, after solving a rather difficult problem, what was the big deal about? Why was it hard to fix in the first place? Why, in hindsight, something so easy to solve, seemed so difficult a problem? That the solution that was so simple, so difficult to just execute. It is maybe because the solution wasn't hard to begin with but was just a difficult choice. The reluctance to choose that solution or reluctance to put the solution in motion, makes the problem feel so much harder. So, the quote above distills the quandary to it's essence. It tries to capture this situation into wisdom that c...

To avoid Confusion, do not ask Question. Also prevents Knowledge growth.

A warning sticker on a tractor attachment. Apparently, it isn't obvious. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Questions can be the root of knowledge when it is paired with an understandable answer. It is valid form of communicating knowledge. Confusion reign with answers that are complicated and convoluted. Those really doesn't answer the question. I was asked by a friend, "If you came with a warning label, what would it say." This is my response. It's a take on the usual warning phrase forms that is on all sorts of labels and bottles.

Knowledge is best packaged with respect

English: Book of Knowledge (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) An improvement on a previous quote . The opposite of the above is condescension. Which just pushed to the fore the person you are rather than the knowledge you posses. Also begs the question of why is it you want to share: pride, prominence or ...

Blind faith makes us certain in everything except that we can be certainly wrong.

Image
Let there be light (Photo credit: Priyantha Bandara ) We can get confused about faith and certainty. Blind faith makes us believe that something is certain. No doubt about it. When what it really is .. is that we can be certainly wrong. The refusal to even reconsider what we believe can lead us to the extremes. Rather than reinforcing our belief, we seek to extend a tower higher up, not even looking at it's foundation. Inspired by  this NYT article

A leader is about action not title.
