A wise person would know their limit... and the people to help them go beyond it.

In the ever so loud exclamation of everything must be positive to be positive, it is often forgotten that there will be times when we will fall and there will be times when the wall is simply too high to scale.
Rather than try endlessly, why not turn to a friend or for help. Now what ever limits us is fewer. The limits are now that is common to two people.
Some people will say that we can achieve success on our own. The next time they try to use a bridge, tell them to find a way across without it because that bridge is someone's helping hand.

Getting upset with failure is a waste of time. You can't be surprised if you don't expect success every time. Being surprised with an unexpected outcome delays the focus on dealing with it. I don't mean everyone should have a wrong opinion. I mean everybody will have a wrong opinion. The sooner everyone realises that, the sooner the wrong can be corrected. Just because everyone can have an opinion, it doesn't make those opinion right. An opinion can be wrong just as much as it can be right. Changing an opinion is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom and the ability to learn.

If eveyone is a leader, who is left following?

I love it how empowerment is being commercialized through "the lie of leadership". Like "individuality" before it, it's being packaged, dolled-up, re-processed, promoted and available at the right price. While the irony of "individuality" was that while following the urge and advice from everywhere to be a unique individual, you just ended up looking like someone else, one of exactly like others of a group (or someone touted as a model of individuality), the "lie of leadership" plays up the old "youth before age" schism as the drive to be a leader, eschewing experience for cookie cutter slogans and pop-philosophy. No more clearer is this exemplified in the TV series Silicon Valley. Being from the industry, the caricatures are painfully accurate, Dilbert-esque and enough for me to stop watching (let's face it, we watch TV to get away from reality, not have it thrown in the face).
